About this project
The new Olot Market has a glass wall around the perimeter that allows a lot of natural light to enter. There are two façades that get direct sunlight for several hours a day, causing issues for traders who have their food on display.
The solution to this was to install several vertical motorised awnings up to 5.40 m in height so that when the sun is at its strongest, with a simple click, they can lower the awnings to create shade.
